Are you ready for a barbecue? The 30th Annual Barbecue Battle of the Giant National Capital is back Saturday 25 June and Sunday 26 June. The event, which takes place at the National Mall, will host cookbook authors, chefs, and professional paleontologists each vying to be crowned BBQ champions. In honor of World Refugee Day, Medan (1346 Florida Ave., NW) is hosting the Meet Festival at Maydān Food, Culture, and Wine Festival with a date Sunday 26 June From 10 am to 2 pm. The restaurant will transform its Florida street alley into a market filled with vendors of food, wine, and handcrafted items from the Caucasus, North Africa, and the Middle East.
