A House MUSIC-al at CASA 0101 Theater has been extended by two additional weeks of design and writing

Producers of the new flagship world music premiere, ARENA: A House MUSIC-al, have announced an extension of the show for another two weeks until July 31, 2022. Designed and written by Abel Alvarado, and directed by Rego Tejeda, ARENA: A House MUSIC-al produced by CASA 0101 Theater and TNH Productions, El Centro Del Pueblo, and Los Angeles City Council member Jill Cedillo.

On Friday, July 15, 2022, actor Alex Honorato, the replacement for the central role of Lucio Torrez, will appear on stage in the role. Actor Giovanni Navarro will join the cast in the featured role of Michael in shows scheduled for July 22-31, 2022.

Shows will take place Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 4:00 p.m. through July 31, 2022 at CASA 0101 Theatre, 2102 East 1st Street (on St. Louis Avenue), Boyle Heights, CA 90033. ARENA: A House MUSIC-al is based on the house music of the ’90s at the legendary ARENA nightclub in Hollywood, California. Coming of age story follows Lucio Torres, a young music minister in his father’s Apostolic Church, who aspires to live out his truth and find his voice and a place where he can be free. ARENA: A House MUSIC-al includes adult and nudity themes. Show is recommended for ages 17 and up.

Tickets within $35 per person for general admission; $30 per person for students and seniors; and $25 per person for Boyle Heights residents with ID and $75 for VIP tickets. ARENA: A House MUSIC-al includes adult and nudity themes. Show is recommended for ages 17 and up. The show consists of two acts, with 32 musical numbers, and has an approximate duration of 150 minutes, which does not include the intermission. Advance reservations are highly encouraged.
