Angelo’s on Federal Hill reveals new dishes – and drinks – for summer

It calls itself “Not Your Regular Italian Restaurant on Federal Hill.”

Now, Angelou—which has been on Atoils Street in Providence for nearly 100 years—is getting back to innovating again.

During the pandemic, Angelou has turned into an indoor and outdoor restaurant with new windows installed for an improved dining experience.

This week – it announced a number of new dishes and drinks to its classics for an updated seasonal menu.

Angelo’s summer additions

Angelou announced the following Wednesday for Summer 2022:


*Casio Corn: Sweet corn kernels fried in a Casio Baby sauce (butter, black pepper, and Pecorino Romano cheese) – taste similar to creamy corn.
Burrata Caprese: Sliced ​​tomatoes, fresh burrata ball, and fresh garden basil topped with salt, pepper, oil and a balsamic topping.
Watermelon Salad: Spinach, fresh watermelon, crumbled goat cheese, diced red onion, and house-grown mint with a side of balsamic dressing.
Arugula Salad: Arugula topped with shredded Parmigiana cheese with our homemade lemon-honey dressing.
Milanese: Breaded chicken or veal baked in butter until golden and crunchy, topped with fresh arugula, diced tomatoes, shredded parmigiana and topped with a honey lemon sauce.
* Stato di Melanzane: Our original fried eggplant layered with our house gravy and three types of cheese – fresh ricotta, mozzarella, and pecorino romano in a ramekin soufflé, baked until sticky. Served with garlic bread.
* Cavatelli alla Spicy Pink Vodka: Fresh Cavatelli is stir-fried in a red peppery pink vodka sauce.
Crema de miss pasta: rigatoni sauteed with sweet corn and fresh basil in a creamy alfredo sauce.
* Buffalo Chicken Penne: Penne pasta sautéed in new buffalo alfredo sauce with diced tomatoes, fresh spinach and seasoned grilled chicken.
Lobster Ravioli: Six homemade jumbo ravioli stuffed with crab and cheese in Chef Joe’s signature pink vodka sauce.
*Smoked Mozzarella Ravioli: Six (6) fresh jumbo ravioli stuffed with smoked mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and spinach in our house gravy.


* Peach Passion: Ketel One Orange Blossom & Peach Botanical Vodka, Peach Tree, Orange Juice, Passion Fruit with a Chamoi tagine rim.
* Lemon Basil Martini: Deep Eddy’s simple lemon vodka, shaken with ice and filtered into a stemless martini glass, garnished with home-grown basil.
* Summer Sangria: House Wine Rose, Bacardi White Rum, White Cranberry Juice, Fresh Watermelon and Strawberry
* Limoncello Margarita: Mi Campo Blanco Tequila, Limoncello, Citrus, Lemon Juice
* Passion Fruit Mule: Tito vodka, passion fruit, lemon juice, topped with ginger ale.
*Watermelon, basil and lemonade: watermelon and basil with Tito vodka and lemon juice. Home garnished with basil
*Strawberry Mojito: Mixed strawberries and homemade mint, with sugar, lemon juice, Bacardi rum and soda water.
* Prosecco Pops: Homemade seasonal fruit popsicle in a glass from La Marca Prosecco.
* Old Fashioned Orange: Makers Mark, Orange Bitters, Pickled Orange, Luxardo Cherry, garnished with orange peel.
