We have the perfect recommendation if you want to enjoy Mediterranean food in a fine dining but less expensive experience. Take a monorail from the Magic Kingdom to The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for dinner at the Citricos Lounge. The Citricos Lounge is located outside the Citricos Restaurant on the second floor of this luxury resort. Visit a glass of wine or an expertly mixed cocktail like an orange blossom martini made with diplomatic rum, orange blossom honey and lemon juice and topped with ginger foam.

We recommend Wild Mushrooms Arancini if you are looking for a small shareable morsel or a small plate to make a menu. This Sicilian-inspired dish is a staple in this Mediterranean/Italian cuisine. This delicious dish is a fried rice ball that can be changed up with different types of mixes. Wild Mushroom Arancini is made with Truffle Aïoli and served with arugula and champagne vinegar. This eatable is $14, and we promise you’ll enjoy every crunchy bite.

If you have never tried roulette, this is your lucky day. A European cooking method that involves wrapping meat or pastries around fillings such as vegetables, cheese, or even other meats, this cooking method makes a unique and delicious dish. Citricos Lounge serves up the most mouth-watering chicken roulade.

Priced at $38, this main course of Roulade of Chicken is served with braised kale, cornbread, Romesco sauce, and roasted kale. Thanks to the cooking technique, you’ll find the chicken incredibly moist and hard to beat as the meal itself. The flavors of savory chicken, bitter cabbage and sweet corn cake are perfect complements!

Let’s have a stroll outside the EPCOT International Gate and then go to Disney’s BoardWalk Resort for our next meal. Located in the picturesque Disney BoardWalk, Trattoria al Forno serves fresh Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. One of our favorite appetizers at this restaurant is the coastal mussels.

Cooked in Vino Bianco, topped with shaved fennel, with chilies, and topped with pesto cream, this appetizer is a big win. The perfect balance of fresh Mediterranean flavor balanced with salty mussels makes for a fun and flavorful dish. These appetizers ring in at just over $18.

Enjoy a delicious table service meal at Trattoria al Forno then wander outside to explore the boardwalk, sip a cocktail at a nearby bar or just enjoy the atmosphere.

Can anything beat a delicious bar of charcuterie? No, not even on a Walt Disney World vacation. In fact, Disney World Resort has some great charcuterie on table service and quick service menus throughout the property. Another delicious appetizer on Trattoria al Forno’s menu is salumi.

The salumi order consists of cured meats, cheese and pickled vegetables. Talk about getting an authentic taste of the Mediterranean, nothing beats enjoying a pair of charcuterie in its purest form. The Salumi is perfect for sharing between two guests and rings at $15.

Other delicious appetizer options on this list include the classic Insalata Caprese for $13 or the crunchy and juicy Roma Tomato Brushetta, also for $13. With a variety of delicious foods on this list, I can make a meal entirely from the starter options on this list!

I’m a big fan of a simple but fresh salad and the ready-made terrella salad fits the bill. The whole portion of the salad costs $16 and is a really tasty meal. This robust salad is made with romaine lettuce, boconcini, and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.

Salad marinated with fennel, bright cherry tomatoes, crunchy red onions, salami, pepperoncini, and red wine vinegar dressing. This vegetarian meal scores major points for being a healthy holiday meal choice and absolutely delicious!

As you can see, there is an abundance of delicious, Mediterranean-inspired dishes to enjoy on your Walt Disney World vacation. As always, this is not an exhaustive list (check the Fresh Mediterranean Market too) but thinking about Disney dining options while planning your vacation at Walt Disney World Resort will come in handy.
