Inclusion of Cairo in the statewide Bible reading event

A statewide Bible reading event is scheduled to be held across Georgia on Thursday. Beginning at 7:14 a.m. in each of the 159 state courts, there will be designated readers who will read aloud different sections of the Bible. Convenience traveler MB Church to hold revival

Members of Traveler’s Rest MB Church invite everyone to their remembrance, which concludes at 7 p.m. today. The missionary for the services will be Reverend Dr. Dale Harrison of Hickory Hill BB Church in Tallahassee. The church is located on Cal Thomas Road in Wigham.

County Grady Dogs Selling Lottery Tickets

The Grady County Dawgs football team is currently selling lottery tickets for the July 30 Braves game in Atlanta. The winner will receive four tickets plus a parking ticket and the raffle will take place on July 17th. Tickets are currently on sale by calling Tim Jones at 224-8526 or John Walton at 221-2453.

80s concert sponsored by Zebulon

The Zebulon Theater will host an 80s Concert Evening at the Grady Cultural Center on August 13 from 8-10 p.m. The evening will feature the Foreigner Tribute, an appetizer bar, cash bar, appetizer bar, photo booth, and ballroom. Summer Reading Program Activities

This week’s summer reading program continues at the Roddenbery Memorial with activities planned for children, teens, and adults. On Thursday July 14 at 2pm the Animation and Arts Club for young people aged 12-18 will be; Teens will also get FINtasitic on Friday, July 15th through Game Play from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are also activities for adults this week including the All Booked Up Book Club at 2pm on Wednesday July 13th at 2pm to discuss “Life of Pi” and Thursday July 14th at 3pm will be an introduction to pottery for all ages. Medway Baptiste holds VBS

Medway Baptist Church invites everyone to join them for their Summer Bible School until Thursday from 6-8:15 p.m. There will be classes for all ages, adult births, and a meal served every evening.

The train project at the History Museum has been completed

The Grady County Museum of History has announced that the long-awaited “train” project has been completed and is now open to the public for viewing. Among the many fun features of this new gallery are the eight miniature trains that recreate the rail journey from Cairo to Savannah and back again. Displayed backdrops depict panoramas between towns and villages along the way and include a carnival, hobo village, fishing camp, water tower, and more. Everyone is welcome to come to see the new train show at the museum which is open Tuesday through Friday from 1-4pm and on Saturday from 10am-2pm

Prayer line from women to women

The Women-to-Women Prayer Line takes place every Tuesday at 5am, and everyone is welcome to participate. Shiloh MB Church reopens for worship

Members of the Shiloh MB Church have announced that they have reopened in-person worship services on the third Sunday of every month with Sunday School at 10:30 AM and morning worship at 11:30. Reverend Simon Simmons III, the Reverend, and all congregants invite everyone to attend.
