The group plans to sell more than 1,000 chicken dinners to raise much-needed money for charities in the area.

The charities are:

Dearborn Exchange Club is part of the National Exchange Club organization. The Dearborn Club was founded in 1911 and is one of the oldest service organizations in the country. The club supports Americanism, community service, youth, and the prevention of child abuse. They offer a $1,500 scholarship to the top student at the three traditional high schools in Dearborn. The motto of the organization is “Unity for Service”.

• Fordson High School Varsity supports Dearborn Fordson High School student athletes and teams through capital improvements to facilities, equipment, and most importantly, scholarships at Henry Ford College. FVC currently has a scholarship fund of over $150,000 and has provided scholarships to more than 100 students.

• The Dearborn Goodfellows mission for the past 98 years has been to make sure that no child goes without Christmas. The organization’s impact on society is much broader than helping less fortunate children during the holiday season and providing assistance throughout the year to children in need.
