My mother was a deeply spiritual woman, praying daily, and including prayer for those who needed it. She was a longtime member of the Atonement Lutheran Church and was close to her church community. Many things brought the mother joy especially reading, sewing, gardening, entertaining, playing games, spending time in the cabin, dealing with nature, traveling, cooking, baking, decorating, and shopping. My mom was known for her cookies and homemade chicken noodle soup. Weekly, my mum played games with her friends at Muller Gardens, including cribbage, foot, and foot. She was competitive by nature and always cheered up after winning. My mom took note cards and sent out “Little Mercies” to cheer up those being hurt. My mom lived life to the fullest, and she lived it well. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. My mother’s last words were: “I am at peace.”

Dolly is survived by her children, Tom (Joan) Smith of Saint Cloud, Susan (Mike) Iten of Saint Cloud, and Theresa Aslison of Helena, Montana; son-in-law of Steve Oltz of Sock Rapids; sons, Vicki Mercy of Brooklyn Park, Diane Wisner of Tampa, Florida, and David Wisner of St. Paul; 13 grandchildren, 26 grandchildren. and Sister Grace Lusso of Saint Joseph.
