Dairy Queen kicks off summer with a Blizzard pairing treat made for fans of Drumstick ice cream cones.
If you haven’t had a Drumstick before, you are missing out. Waffle cones have a piece of chocolate on the bottom and are then filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate and peanut sauce. So, of course, the Drumstick mixes in with smooth Peanuts Blizzard Dairy Queen and serves ice cream with chopped peanuts and chocolate-covered waffle cone pieces.
Drumstick with Peanuts Blizzard was on the summer list last year. This year, the dessert will be served alongside a new Caramel Drumstick with Peanuts Blizzard for those who enjoyed Drumstick Blizzard but also crave some rich and creamy caramel swirls.
The new Drumstick Blizzards are only two flavors on Dairy Queen’s Summer Blizzard menu, which also includes the return of fan favorites and a handful of other new flavors.
Popular blizzards like Girl Scout Thin Mints, Cotton Candy, and Very Cherry Chip are back on the menu all summer long, plus you’ll find new flavors including Caramel Fudge Cheesecake and Oreo Dirt pie, a mix of soft ice cream with Oreo cookies, gummy worms and cream of fudge.
This summer, you may even be able to find ice cream in a place you least expect – Krispy Kreme!
Although currently available at a few Krispy Kreme locations, the first-ever donut shop ice cream was created using a secret Original Glazed Donut recipe, which includes the famous flavor glaze and real whole milk. The Original Glazed Soft Serve will be available in seven whipped flavors, as well as cones and cups.
The ice cream is currently served in 10 cities across North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia, but Krispy Kreme says it will expand to other locations throughout the summer.
Even Oreo celebrates summer with an ice cream-inspired flavor that tastes like Neapolitan ice cream in a waffle cone. Sandwiched between two cookies that taste like waffle cones, the new Neapolitan Oreo cookies have three cream layers that match a Neapolitan trio of chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla.
The new flavor will hit the cookie aisle in stores across the country in July, but since it’s a limited edition, the cookies will only be around while supplies run out.
