Kura Revolving Sushi Bar Opens Novi Restaurant on Saturday

Japanese restaurant chain Kura Sushi has announced that it will open its second Metro Detroit location in Novi at noon on July 16.

Novi will be Kura’s 38th circle location for sushi in the United States and the second location in Michigan. The restaurant serves authentic and delicious Japanese dishes made with high quality natural ingredients and free from artificial sweeteners, spices, preservatives and colourings.

Since opening its first restaurant in Japan in 1977, operating systems have been passed on and improved while Kura Corp. has grown exponentially with another 500 locations across Japan, Taiwan, and the United States.

As pioneers in the concept of revolving sushi, the Kura family of companies has refined the concept and incorporated advanced technology, premium ingredients, and affordable prices to enhance the unique revolving sushi experience.

The Kura experience features a two-tiered conveyor belt system, a bikkura pon reward system, robots, and Kura Sushi rewards.

The two-layer conveyor belt rotates throughout the entire restaurant with presentations of different sushi dishes. There are tablets located at each table to choose from more than 140 items, which will send a notification to the kitchen where they will make your plate and send it under the speed belt of the upper tier directly to your table.

The bikkura pon award system consists of a short anime that is played on the tablet after every five sushi plates are distributed into the plate slot, and prizes are received after every 15 sushi plates are distributed into the plate slot.

Exclusively at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar restaurants in the United States, the first Demon Slayer x Kura Sushi Prize Collaboration includes rubber keychains, lanyards, and signature badges Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The main characters are Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, among others.

The Kura Experience also has bots with Kur-B the KuraBot serving tableside drink orders through tablet notifications to wait staff and reward programs that allow guests to earn a $5 reward for every $50 spent.

Kura Sushi also features a mobile app that enables customers to view live waiting times and join the queue remotely. Guests can also access rewards through the app and place an online order for pickup or delivery.

The first 50 guests to dine at the Novi location on July 16 will receive a Demon Slayer x Kura Sushi Graphic T-Shirt. The restaurant is located at 26425 Novi Road, Suite C. The other location in the area is Troy, at 736 W. Big Beaver Rd.

Novi’s grand opening hours will run from noon to 9 p.m. July 16-19, with regular business hours beginning July 20. Those hours are from Sunday to Thursday from 11:30 am to 9 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm
