Soi Sukhumvit 11 recently welcomed a stylish new hangout with some upscale Asian meals – and it’s open late.
With the minds behind some of Bangkok’s greatest hits like Quince, Sing Sing Theatre, Oskar Bistro, and Gigi; Lily Fu’s Restaurant has recently opened inside the Mercure Hotel, serving the most delicious Asian dishes.
Upon entering Lily Fu’s, diners cannot miss the light walls adorned with counters and antique candy boxes. The kitchen comes with classic Chinese and Southeast Asian dishes made with innovative flair. For starters, a must try Boiled sea bass “Yarp style” (THB240) or heart chow mein (170 THB).
In the dim sum menu, lily wallet (THB160) is a three-flavor dumpling of shrimp, black truffle and spinach; For a fundamentalist, grab ha gao (125 THB) and what may (125 THB).
Bao, from number one to six, runs the entire chain – Hong Kong, Hainan, Indonesia – but we highly recommend Paw #5 (250 THB), Vietnamese Style Beef With Onion, Ginger And Sriracha Hoisin Chili Sauce On Thin White Pao.
Will you come with a group of carnivores? The absolute must-try is Tomahawk Three Sides Grilled Australian Black Angus (THB260/100g). For dessert, there is Chocolate tart (250 THB) with chocolate ganache, chili, sour cream cheese and salted caramel, but for something less sweet and more creative out there Lily’s Mango Sticky Rice (250 THB), consisting of mango, sticky rice berries and coconut cream with mango sorbet.
Expect classic and creative cocktails like Thai Negroni (THB280) stands out as a favourite, blending Saneha gin with Campari, Chinese Five Spice, and 1757 Rosso; Refreshing tart Chow Phraya (THB260) is fraya rum, aloe vera, lemon, hot pepper, and ginger. But there are also delightfully simple drinks, such as Coconut Mojito (THB230) and Mekong Iced Coffee (240 THB). Bottles of red wine start at 1,180 THB or 200 THB per glass.
Lily Fu’s is located on the lobby level of the Mercure Hotel on Soi Sukhumvit 11, which is accessible from BTS Nana. It is open from 8 am to midnight every day.
