McDonald’s Italian Stack review sees burger labeled ‘nice’

Reviewing the Italian Stack Burger at Kent Live, Stephanie Bimpong delved into the fast food chain’s latest seasonal offering. The menu consists of two different types of burgers, a side, and a new McFlurry flavor, available through July 26.

According to the new menu, the Italian stack is described as “two cuts of 100% beef, [with] Mozzarella cheese, onions, crunchy onions, rich tomato sauce, lettuce and a smooth cheese sauce, all served in a freshly roasted tomato and basil flavored bun.”

There is also the option of Crispy Chicken Italiano, which is “crunchy chicken fillet topped with a juicy slice of tomato, mozzarella cheese, basil pesto sauce, red onion and lettuce, served in a soft toasted ciabatta style bun.”

The fast food chain has also brought back its famous mozzarella dip – a long-time favorite for many people – as well as the new Tiramisu McFlurry.

Speaking to Kent Live, Stephanie shared her verdict: “I went to my local McDonald’s in Chatham to try out the new menu myself. I ate an Italian steak burger, fries, and mozzarella with sauce, plus a strawberry and cream Frappuccino. Everything added up to the total cost.” £9.73 but I don’t feel this meal was such good value for money that I struggled to finish it.And worst of all, the Italian Steak is one of the tastiest burgers I’ve ever had.

“On the first bite, I was blown away by the tomato sauce. Although it removed the dryness and moisture of the burger, I felt like I was eating a bowl of spaghetti bolognese, which I didn’t exactly sign up for.”

“The fancy bun wasn’t very attractive either, as it didn’t look like the pictures shown online. The burger was drenched in lettuce – almost more than I liked. Meanwhile, the crunchy onions in the description were nowhere visible, which is a massive shame.

“What more can be said on the Italian stack? The thicker layer of cheese might be my favorite part of the whole burger. McDonald’s was very generous with the amount of cheese in this “excellent” burger, but it’s definitely not my favorite and overall I would rate it 2/5 .

“I also picked up some mozzarella dips. These are a guilty pleasure and I tend to find myself often using every salsa dip that comes with them. You can never go wrong with these dips.”

“The Strawberry and Cream Frappuccino, also a limited edition, was great value for money. It was amazing and tasted very similar to a Starbucks concoction, which I sometimes treat on the weekends. This Frappuccino is perfect for a hot summer’s day and I think it should stay on the menu for the long haul.” the long.

“I usually tend to look for chicken burgers or nuggets at McDonald’s, and thought it would have been better to try the new chicken burger. As a former worker at a burger restaurant, I can be picky when trying new burgers. I was very optimistic I would enjoy this new one, but Unfortunately this was not the case.

Many people have taken to social media to share their opinions about this new Italian burger from Stack. On Twitter, some shared their outrage.

Someone tweeted: ‘Italian steak is the worst thing I’ve ever received from a McDonald’s. Quite a swamp.” Another wrote: “You should have called it maclazania.”

“Overall, I wasn’t a fan of this new Italian menu, and I definitely think McDonald’s has the best burgers on their menu, like Mac Spicy and Grand Big Mac. They should definitely be brought back.

“I don’t think this Taste of Italy menu takes you to the coast of Milan, but it does make you feel like you’re in Wetherspoons eating lasagna.

“Later this month, McDonald’s will also start selling Taste of Spain and Cyprus menu options as well. Let’s hope it’s a little better.”
