Billy Hart Quartet in Statues

Music’s past, present, and future meet at The Statuary on Saturday, July 16, when jazz master Billy Hart and The Billy Hart Quartet perform, featuring Hart himself on drums, Adam Kolker on saxophone, Oguna Okigo on bass, and Chris McCarthy on piano.

There is a suggested donation of $25 to enter. All donations go to the artist’s fee for this event and future events. Doors open at 6 p.m. and show begins at 7 p.m. Food will be served by Taquito Mexicanos, Popcorn, and drinks with a suggested $5 donation. The statue is located at 53 Congress Street, Jersey City. Behind the iteration at Canopy Jersey City

Robert Malmberg’s Behind the Repeat will premiere at Jersey City’s Canopy Arts District on Wednesday, July 20, and will run through September. Behind the Repeat features the fine art depiction of Malmberg along with its inspired wallpaper.

Malmberg Studio Wallpaper has appeared in Architectural Digest, Forbes, The Washington Post, Interior Design Magazine, Business of Home and Hospitality Design.

Canopy by Hilton Jersey City is located at 159 Morgan Street, Jersey City.

Ice cream in Smorgasburg on Saturday

Ice Cream Alley will be in Smorgasburg in Jersey City on Saturday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ice Cream Alley is a group of pop-up vendors including Jersey & Co. Gelato, Anhelado, Milk Sugar Love, FilRO, Gotham Fries, Tibbled Desserts, Bona Bona Ice Cream, Cake Jars, La Newrkina, and knead some love. Regular vendors will also be established for Smorgasburg.

Smorgasburg is a weekly outdoor food market that takes place across the country. Besides Jersey City, Smorgasburg takes place in Brooklyn; Manhattan. Los Angeles, California; and Miami, Florida. Smorgasburg JC is held at Harborside Place, on Hudson St.

US Open Dance Championships

The American Open DanceSport takes place in New York City and New Jersey beginning Wednesday, July 20 at 8 a.m. and will run through Sunday, July 24. The five-day dance event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Jersey City.

The competition features youth, amateur, professional and pro events in all styles of ballroom dancing. There is a total prize pool of $150,000.

Night with Sean Kelly and Friends

Every third Thursday of the month at Fox & Crow, Jersey City singer-songwriter Sean Kelly joins guest artist along with a performance by an artist from another medium, be it comedy or poetry, and a range of music by Kiely and his collaborators.

On Thursday, July 21, the show will be presented by Kate Brasher and Ariel Evans. Prascher is a singer and mandolinist who reached the final stage on the IBMA Songwriting Showcase in 2021. Evans is a New York City comedian and actress who started her career in Seattle, Washington.

Show from 7 to 10 p.m. The Fox & Crow is located at 594 Palisade Ave. , Jersey City.

Free Comedy Night at Mulligan’s in Hoboken

Free Comedy Nights at Mulligan’s in Hoboken with Headspace and Timing Comedy continue Wednesday, July 20, from 7:45 to 9:30 p.m.

Hosted by Broadway Comedy Club’s Jojo Fever, the show stars Zach Ameko and will feature Sarah Garner, Kitty Reynolds, Dan Bolzillo and Mike Favor.
