Roll-Em-Up Taquitos plans to expand 9 units in Southern California

Roll-Em-Up Taquitos, a quito-focused franchise, is rolling out a nine-unit development deal in Southern California, according to a company press release.

The deal will bring locations to Riverside County, with the first batch opening by the first quarter of 2022. The Riverside County deal comes at a time when Roll-Em-Up Taquitos continues to expand within its home state of California.

All nine restaurants will be owned and operated by The Aurora Group, a holding company focused on developing quick and service restaurants. The team is a franchisee of Silverlake Ramen, a ramen concept founded in Los Angeles. Aurora Group plans to roll out three or four locations over the next year.

John Smothers, managing partner at The Aurora Group, said at the release.

Aurora Group will add Roll-Em-Up Taquitos locations in Corona, Eastvale, Riverside, Temecula, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Hemet, Murrieta, Moreno Valley, Perris and El Cerrito.

“We are looking for concepts that provide both informed hospitality and great guest satisfaction, and we see that within the Roll-Em-Up team,” Smothers said in the statement. “Our goal is to build more than 50 units with the brand in the future.”

Roll-Em-Up Taquitos offers five different types of taquitos, including braised shredded beef, shredded chicken, potatoes, cheese, and avocado. The quitos can be garnished with cheese and sour cream, as well as our homemade mild or spicy house sauce, guacamole, queso sauce, and the famous “lite” sauce.

Other menu items include house-made bacon cereal, rice, AF bomb chips, churro buns smothered in caramel sauce, and their famous buttered street corn, mayonnaise, and Cotija cheese, with an optional dusting of Hot Cheetos and Tajin or topped with queso.

“We are excited to welcome the Aurora group to our Roll-Em-Up team, as we are so confident in the success this partnership will bring. We always strive to find partners who believe in our concept and show passion for what we do,” Ryan Osry, CEO and Founder of Roll-Em-Up Taquitos, said in the statement. “Riverside County is an amazing community and shows huge potential for Roll-Em-Up Taquitos to continue expanding across Southern California.”

Roll-Em-Up Taquitos was founded in 2019, and began franchising in 2021. The franchise has two locations in California, with 38 in various stages of development.
