Westerly Senior Center is located at 39 State St., Westerly. Center hours are Monday. To Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. employees will be available, Monday through Friday, at 401-596-2404.

The dining option is back for serving meals. Grab and Go lunches are still available by entering the center through the door in the parking lot. Call 401-596-7216 or sign the clipboard outside the center’s meal counter by Thursday to order either option. A $3 donation is required.

The Seniors Transportation Program provides no cost, door-to-door transportation Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., for residents of Stonington, Mystic, Westerly, and North Stonington age 55 or older. The program uses a bus with an elevator that is easily accessible for people with special needs. Call 860-599-3285, ext. 102, to schedule the flight 48 hours in advance.

Heating and utility assistance, pantry, and daily living utensils are free, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The staff is on site to provide any phone support to seniors in the community who have questions, concerns or are looking for any kind of update. Currently, masks are required for everyone at the Seniors Center.

The New Remember is when the group gathers Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. to share mementos and photos from the past to create meaningful dialogue and relive the experience as it was yesterday.

The second round of production chests will be available to eligible seniors. Call 401-364-9955 by July 1 to register or for more information.

Lunch will be served Monday through Friday at noon in the Center’s Parkside Dining Room. Grab N’ Go lunches are also available for off-site dining. Reservations must be made before noon, two days in advance by calling 401-364-6998.
