These are some of Sian Welby’s favorite things…
Walk around TK Maxx
I’m obsessed with TK Maxx because I’m addicted to candles, pots, and plants. If I see a plant pot you don’t need, I’ll get another plant to fill it. Right now, I have about seven or eight plants in my room. My favorite TK Maxx store is back up north where I am from a city called Newark. When I get off the train from London, I sometimes have to wait for my mother to pick me up. So I walk to TK Maxx and end up buying all these pillows and garden kits. Then I ended up with a folding chair on my lap on the train back to London.
I love slippers. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m now taking them to other people’s homes because I hate being cold. I think it’s weird to get into someone’s house and have to take off your shoes without slippers to change them because your socks are dirty and your feet are cold. We all need to cuddle up our slippers and start taking them with us on holidays and to hotels as well. I always have a pair of fluffy slippers and my favorite Ugg slippers. I don’t need that many pairs of slippers but I probably have about six. We all need to cuddle slippers, and I think boys need to cuddle fluffy slippers, too.
Documentary films about murder
My radio personality is very happy, and in general, I am a very optimistic person. So it’s a bit paradoxical that I love watching killer documentaries and the serial killer expose them. My friend Yinka just did a show about killers, and apparently, there’s a playlist in real life that could have your name on it. The show is called How to hire a professional killer And she’s on Channel 4. It’s great because mothers, wives, and neighbors just order punches on people in their cities and you’d never expect them. Yinka goes on a mission to find the people on the list. amazing thing.
Chinese fast food
My Chinese fast food order is almost everything on the menu. I have to have the shrimp toast, crisps, spare ribs, crispy duck, chow mein and salt and pepper chicken. It’s something I don’t have very much about but associate with coming home with my mom, dad, and sister – it’s very much a family thing. We always order one dish too much, but I see it as quite comfort food. In London, you go for sushi or dim sum. Everything is very modern. Chinese, to me, is a guilty pleasure that doesn’t have to be fancy. You want it from a small local takeaway shop.

I don’t know where this started. Not sure if it’s for Netflix Marie Kondo Or maybe it was Khloe Kardashian, but I have one of these designers from Costco and I literally print out labels for everything. Even if the jar is transparent and the purpose is that you can see that it contains tea bags, I will print the label and write the tea bags on it. I label everything in my fridge and also have its own dairy aisle, fruit and vegetable area, and meat section; Everything has little marks on it. I’m a totally clumsy messy guy – I wear a killer white shirt – but I love to clean and tidy.
