Fourth of July is just around the corner, and these restaurants and bars in Houston celebrate America’s independence with barbecues, drinks, fireworks, and more:

Applegate Get Grilling Pop-Up Giveaways in Houston
On Saturday, July 3 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Applegate will surprise unsuspecting park-goers grilling on public grills across Houston with everything they need for an epic Fourth of July, with pop-ups at local parks including Hermann Park and Memorial Park. Applegate is promoting DO GOOD DOG, the first nationwide hot dog made with beef that has been raised with practices that regenerate the earth; And lucky locals may score some free hot dogs plus Primal Kitchen Seasoning, Sealers Spindrifts and a collectible Applegate bag for leftovers.

Axelrad, 1517 Alabama
The beer garden celebrates America’s independence with a free screening of some classic cinema: The Sandlot. Families are welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult), and the show begins at sunset on July 4th. Umbrella Fellas will grill sausages and hamburgers all night, and the spacious Axelrad bar will open. While the movie is showing outdoors, Axelrad Comedy Night will kick off upstairs at 8:30 PM

B&B Butchers & Restaurant, 1814 Washington
Featuring a stunning view of Houston’s Freedom Over Texas fireworks display from its parking lot, B&B Butchers will be open for dinner from 4 to 10 p.m. on July 4. Guests can enjoy the regular dinner menu plus the TX Wagyu Hot Dog Special – Two Quarter – Pound Dogs with steak and all toppings for $18. Reservations via OpenTable are recommended.

BB Lemon, 1809 Washington
BB Lemon will host a DJ lunch on the Fourth of July from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be open for dinner from 3-9 p.m. with a great view of the downtown Houston fireworks display from the B&B Butchers parking lot across the street. Reservations via OpenTable are recommended.

Big Horn BBQ, 2300 Smith Ranch, 20211 Highway 6

Bosscat will offer red, white, and blue donut burgers from Saturday, July 2 to Monday, July 4; And on the fourth it will be open for a special breakfast and lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner service from 3 to 9 p.m.

Bobcat Teddy’s Icehouse, 2803 White Oak
The White Oak icehouse will host a special 4th of July party with live music and free burgers and hot dogs all day (while supplies last).

Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company, Summer 2101
BuffBrew’s third-floor rooftop has great views of the Freedom Over Texas fireworks, and you can access the space with a $20 ticket (including access to the rooftop starting at 7 p.m. and the color-changing BuffBrew 4 July Stadium Trophy). Enter the third floor during this time, and food, beer, and freezers will be available to purchase a la carte.

Lowe’s Cafe, 3401 Harrisburg
The hot bistro in the new neighborhood serves personalized Fourth of July pies, which contain Bavarian vanilla cream and local berries from Hirsch Farms, and are topped with seasonal flowers. Each pie costs $8 and will be available for pickup on Sunday, July 3 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pre-orders will now be accepted during the two weeks leading up to the holiday, either in store or at 346-446-5770.

Doris Metropolitan, 2815 South Shepherd
Grill your steaks? Doris Metropolitan is open Monday through Saturday from Moon to 5 p.m. for customers to check-in and deliver selected premium cuts of meat. Meat selection varies, and all of the finished steaks are packed raw for guests to cook at their leisure (ask any of the chefs on hand for grilling tips).

Fajitas A Go Go, 3773 Richmond; Tacos A Go Go, multiple
Fajitas A Go Go offers several catering options and is available via delivery service (it also accepts Favour pick-ups within an eight-mile radius). All Tacos A Go Go locations, except for its one at One Shell Plaza in Downtown Tunnels, will be open all weekend.

Hungry’s, 2356 Rice, 14714 Memorial
Celebrate the fourth with a festive ride of red, white, and blue mimosas, featuring flavors of strawberry, lemon, and raspberry. Flights cost $16 during lunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-3pm.

La Calle Tacos & Tortas, 401 Gray, 909 Franklin, 3321 Ella
The Mexican street food spot will offer $4.99 for a frozen margarita and pina coladas from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 4th.

Loro Houston, 1001 West 11
Loro Asian Smokehouse and Bar will offer a ready-to-receive meal package at all locations, while supplies last. The $55 package feeds two people and includes a rack full of ribs, coconut-flavored rice, two cookies, and a choice of two extra sides—peas, sweet corn, cabbage salad, and tomato cucumber salad or crunchy potatoes. Pre-orders start now and run through Monday, July 4th, with pickup starting at noon on July 4.

Corn, 14795 Memorial
Enjoy the grilled oysters stuffed with shrimp and peppers, six oysters for $20 or $38 for a dozen; Mexican Burger – Premium Beef, Jalapeno, Cheese, Avocado, Roasted Pepper and Bacon – for $17; and Mexican BBQ pork ribs for $16. Guests can finish it all off with Corn Tres Cake—a moist corn sponge cake, with three types of corn milk—for $11.

Max Wayne Dive, 4720 Washington, 214 Fairview
From July 1 to July 6, both locations of MAX’s Wine Dive will offer two buckets of fried chicken for $45. Each bucket includes jalapeno-marinated fried chicken, homemade yogurt (gluten-free option also available), sides of Texas toast, mashed potatoes, and collard greens. The special meal can be customized by substituting any sides for Max N cheese, truffle fries, or Brussels sprouts for an additional $5; And you can add a bottle of Prosecco for $15 or GH Mumm Brut Champagne for $45.

New York Eatery, 5422 Belair
Choose from four fully loaded Coney Island American Dogs: The Ori-Jew-nal, which features all the national Hebrew beef on a Breadman Baking bun, for $8.95; The Chelsea, featuring whole national Hebrew beef, sauerkraut, kosher sauerkraut, and yellow mustard on a Breadman Bread roll for $9.95; Brooklyn Bridge, featuring an express of Hebrew National Beef, nova lox, sour cream and green onions on a Breadman Baking bun for $11.95; Or Yonkers Dog, with candid Hebrew National Beef, crispy bacon, caramelized onions, and tomato jam on a Breadman bun for $9.95. Coney Island Dog is served with French fries or French fries and pickles.

NoPo Café, Market and Bar, 1244 North Post Oak
Pre-order is now available for pre-Fourth of July red, white, and blue desserts, from sugar cookies and fruit tarts to mini muffins. Orders must be placed by Friday, July 1 at 5 p.m. Sweets are available for pickup Friday, July 1 through Sunday, July 3 (NoPo will be open for regular hours Friday through Sunday but will be closed on Monday, July 4.

Original Ninfa, 2704 Nav, 1700 Post Oak
We’ll be toasting Ninfa’s Fourth of July with Bubbles and Tequila, which features a Strawberry Tequila Spritz ($15) made with silver tequila, Saint Germain, lime juice, strawberry liqueur, strawberry compote and a drizzle of Topo Chico. Spritz is available all weekend long, July 1-4.

Pier 6 C Food & Oyster House, 113 6th
People are invited to San Leone for the Fourth of July bash at Pier 6 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The family-friendly beachside celebration will feature nostalgic snacks including a popcorn machine and cotton candy, plus live music and deejay, face painting, Lady Liberty on stilts and a local fire truck doing daytime rides through the marina, waving American flags. Reservations are recommended.

Pizzaro Pizza, 11177 Katie Freeway, 1000 West Gray
Pizaro’s kicks off 4th of July weekend with the national pizza of the day: Star Spangled Pizza, featuring star-shaped mozzarella, chorizo, jalapenos, and fresh ricotta stars, and then finishes with optional, funky Pop Rocks. The cost is $21 for Napolitana; $21 for a small pizza in Detroit and $30 for a large pizza; and $30 for New York Style. Star Spangled Pizza will debut on Friday, July 1, and will be available until sold out (note: Pizaro’s is closed on Mondays).

Revelry in Richmond, 1613 Richmond
Guests can have a special Fourth of July steak with two sides and a pint of beer for $25, or try a frozen red, white, and blue cocktail.

Rustic, 1836 Polk
Locals are invited to enjoy the festivities as Texas musician Pat Green and his band compete live at The Rustic downtown location on Friday, July 1. In addition to singing with his hit song “Wave on Wave,” they also have the opportunity to meet and greet a country music star. Parking is free with validation at the Avenida South parking garage off Polk.

Trattoria Sofia, 911 West 11
Trattoria Sofia will be open for a brunch special from 11am-3pm, as well as dinner service from 3-9pm, reservations recommended via OpenTable.

Treebeards, multiple locations
Whole pies and cobblers can be pre-ordered 24 hours in advance for pickup before Monday, July 4 (all locations closed on that day). The seasonal Peach & Blueberry Cobbler ($4 a piece, $30 a whole), made with fresh peaches and berries, is now available through the end of July at all locations; And those craving for pie can opt for Apple Pie with Crumb Topping ($24). Order pies and cobblers full 24 hours in advance in person, online or by phone, and plan for your pick-up, as all Treebeards locations will be closed Monday, July 4th.

Willie’s Grill & Icehouse, multiple locations
Willie’s Will Have a Huge Deal July 4th: $6 Yard-O-Ritas – Texas Long and Tall portions of Willie’s Frozen Ritas – will be available for dining guests Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 4, while supplies run out, at select locations . Guests can also take advantage of Willie’s Summer Triple Play: $3 Frozen Ritas, $3 Frozen Jack & Cokes, and $3 Draft Beers available now through August 30 at all 19 Willie locations across the state. To-go drink specials include $3 To-Go Frozen Drinks, along with half price Half Gallon and Gallon To-Go Ritas.
