We feel we owe it to the celebrities. Not only do they provide us with hours of entertainment and exciting rumors, but they also provide significant funding for our favorite vegan brands. In today’s economy, a solid investment can breathe new life into a great product; Without proper funding, even the best ideas can fail or never reach nationwide distribution. Thank you to those celebrities who put their trust and money in the hands of capable vegan entrepreneurs, because without those investments, we might never have tried our crunchy Double Chocolate Bartik Cake or our delicious Good Catch Crab Cake. From Rihanna and Jay-Z to Serena Williams and Bobby Flay, there are 18 vegan companies with investments from these celebrities.

Vegetarian or not, most celebrities seem to have a share of either Beyond Meat or Impossible Foods. Some have invested in both. Burgers, Floors and now Impossible Chicken Cuts were funded in part by celebrities including Jay-Z, Trevor Noah, Katy Perry, Phil Rosenthal, Jaden Smith, Ruby Rose, Serena Williams and more. As it turns out, celebrities are like us in at least one way – they love burgers and nuggets.

2 Beyond Meat

Like Impossible Foods, Beyond Meat can fill a large conference room with a slate of celebrity investors. From purely financial backers like Leonardo DiCaprio and Bill Gates to more general investments by Snoop Dogg, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Hopkins, this vegan meat company has earned a spot on the red carpet and the ESPN region. While the launch of Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods seems mutually exclusive, the first product has gained a greater reputation among professional athletes.

This UK-based vegan brand reformulates many chicken products to remove eggs and dairy. Drew Barrymore became Director of Marketing – Mom’s Chief Executive Officer – for the company to publish Quorn in the United States. Vegetarian options are clearly marked and include filet mignon, cutlets, dips and ground foods.

Now with three brick-and-mortar locations in California and British Columbia, the company harnesses Williams’ star strength as well as a partnership with iconic Matthew Kinney lifestyle brand Matthew Kinney. Expect more plant-based convenience stores under the PlantX label in the future.

This vegan and cruelty-free beauty box was launched, with the support of actresses Evanna Lynch and Daniela Monet. Each monthly box contains a selection of five products with the Lynch and Monet seal of approval. Items range from full size to mini size and spanning top brands as well as rising hidden gems.



Founded by serial entrepreneur Bill Glaser and designed by celebrity vegan chef Madeleine Bistro’s now closed-down Dave Anderson, celebs were quickly attached to their no-bake pork chops made with mushrooms. Investments came from Snoop Dogg, Alexandra Paul, Emily Deschanel, Alan Cumming, and Cesar Milan, among others.
